KENNY DONNELLY JR. Memorial Scholarship
The KDJMSF Scholarship was established in June 2011. This scholarship fund was created to honor the memory and legacy of Kenny Donnelly Jr. who was taken too soon by senseless violence in October 2010. He graduated in 2008 from Holy Savior Menard High School in Alexandria, LA. Kenny was a full-time student at the University of Louisiana Lafayette (ULL), a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity, and a member of the Louisiana Army National Guard. He was a very kind, spirited person who always took the time to help others in need and could light up a room with his wonderful smile. He was self-motivated, focused, and believed in achieving the highest standards in his life. Higher education was very important to him and that's way this scholarship fund was established.
The KDJMSF promotes postsecondary education to students as well as provide some financial assistance to deserving Louisiana high school seniors and GED graduates to utilize towards college expenses. One of our goals is to encourage graduating high school and GED students who through scholastic, artistic, and/or athletic achievement. KDJMSF promotes, and presents other educational programs available and types of career paths to Louisiana High Schools and Adult Education Centers throughout Louisiana. KDJMSF believes in "paying it forward" to the community and gives a portion of the donations to Louisiana missions, youth groups, and spiritual organizations during the year.
